The Camp
Thornycroft Camp is designed with bigger groups on a budget in mind. It is the perfect venue for church groups, school outings, sports teams etc. The camp is situated in the middle of nature, and guests wake up to the stunning views and sounds of abundant bird life.
The camp consists of four dorms, each accommodating twenty guests on bunk beds. Each dorm has ample showers, toilets and basins. To make the camp experience fun and also keep the rates low, guests need to bring their own bedding, towels etc.
Day Visit
Come and spend a day with friends and family. Thatched Poolside Lapa – Restaurant, Bar and Winter Lounge. The thatched entertainment lapa surrounds the pool and patio garden. The entertainment area features a long bar, with a wooden dancefloor, big screen, pool table and darts, braai area and a small kitchen. It seats up to 50 people, with further space on the patio. Leading off the entertainment area through a set of large sliding doors is the spacious winter lounge, with cosy fireplace.
Picnics
Our Executive Chef will fill your wicker picnic basket with a selection of tasty treats, allowing you to spend a peaceful afternoon on our lush lawns under the trees, blankets and pillows will be provided.
Keep an eye out for the beautiful birds found in the area, in particular the elusive golden oriel, and our resident fish eagles and kingfishers.
The picnic menu is at the Chef’s discretion but special dietary requirements can be made.

There are a number of easy walks in and around Nahoon River. Enjoy hand-curated trail maps, along with reviews and photos from nature lovers like you.
